Originally concentrating on Volvo and Saab, an expansion of marque coverage to include German cars, with special emphasis on Porsche, elevated our status to one of Southeastern Pennsylvania’s most comprehensive independent repair shops. As one of only 500 Bosch Authorized Service Centers in the U.S., Dougherty Automotive is capable of diagnosing and servicing the latest electronic controls used in today’s vehicles. As “specialized” experienced professionals, we have encountered the most unusual problems and know the quickest solutions. Our 14,000 square foot facility, which contains state of the art diagnostic and repair equipment, provides ample space for over 15 employees, an extensive parts department and a thriving mail order business. The daily shop operations focus on providing customer satisfaction through attention to detail and factory approved repair procedures. Pride in workmanship characterizes the Dougherty Automotive technicians and it is reflected in the quality of their work. Courtesy is the watchword in all customer contacts, and it can be expected whether one is dealing with an owner, technician, service writer, or any Dougherty employee. We are proud to have been providing excellent service for nearly a quarter of a century and the loyalty of our customers is testimony to our commitment to be the best. In addition to maintaining a routine maintenance facility, Dougherty Automotive has established itself as a premier race car preparation shop. Realizing the growing interest in performance and track driving, we recognized the need for quality design and fabrication to provide customers with “specialized” vehicles. This division of the business has grown to represent a significant portion of everyday operations. Dougherty constructed and prepared Porsches regularly participate in all Club “performance” events consistently placing in the top positions. Attending Club events as participants and with their customers, Dougherty Automotive personnel identified a void, which needed to be filled. Relying heavily on their racing and marketing backgrounds, Dougherty Automotive Services launched the DAS-sportSYSTEM product line. We are extremely proud of these safety and Club racing related items, which install, in most cases, with no modifications to the chassis or interior. Dougherty Automotive personnel regularly attend Club events monitoring trends within the performance market and, based on their observations, design, develop and bring new products, which address any changes, to market.
